Affirmation: I will not allow the fear of what if ruin the joy of what is.
Word of the Day: weltansachauung (n):
Some souls have gotten free of their bodies.
Do you see them? Open your eyes for those
who escape to meet with other escapees,
whose hearts associate in a way they have
of leaving their false selves
to live in a truer self.
I don't mind if my companions
wander away for a while.
They will come back like a smiling drunk.
Thirsty ones die of their thirst.
A nightingale sometimes
flies from a garden
to sing in the forest.

Mystery Blogger Award
Today I’m incredibly humbled and excited to share that I was
nominated as the recipient of the “Mystery Blogger Award” by my very dear
friend, Mirissa Price.
If you guys are not familiar with Mirissa’s blog, I suggest
that you visit it right now. Seriously. I’ll wait. Her musings, poetry, art,
creativity, intelligence, and deep insight are unparalleled. Here is the url to
her blog:
So what is the “Mystery Blogger Award,” you ask? Well, according
to Okoto Enigma (https://okotoenigma.wordpress.com), it is an award “for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only
captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and
they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who
find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and
passion.”
Cooool!
Here are the rules:
So I’ve done the first 4 things… on to #5: Three things
about myself.
I love how open-ended this question is, but it also feels
like a lot of pressure because there are so many directions I could go in with
this one. So here are 3 random things about me:
a) I am a twin.
b) My favorite color is yellow – but not because I like to
wear yellow or because I like yellow things. I simply like the soul and energy
of the color yellow.
c) My spirit animal is the sea turtle. I never “believed” in
spirit animals, but 6 completely unrelated spirit readers in 3 different states
have all pegged me as a sea turtle.
Mirissa’s Five Questions:
1. What is your
passion?
Passion is a part of who I am. It is impossible for me to
limit or define. I used to condemn myself as a “jack of all trades and a master
of none” but I now delight in my multi-faceted personality and my insatiable
curiosity. I have a zest and thirst and passion for life and living well and
wholly – I want to suck the marrow out of life. I want to see, taste, smell,
touch, dance, and feel my way into the heart of my life and my Self.
2. What is your first
reaction to an obstacle or challenge?
If I’m being completely honest, it is usually fear or a
combination of fear, self-doubt, anxiety, and paralysis. But I am working on
this response!
3. What simple moment
fills you with joy?
Waking up in the morning, a full day of possibilities and
potential, opportunities and growth stretching out before me. Writing in my
gratitude journal. Reading. Playing. Laughing.
4. What do you see
when you look out at the ocean?
I don’t “see” when I look out at the ocean as much as I “feel.”
I feel the waves like the swells in my own heart.
5. Funny question:
sticky notes or post-its?
I’m assuming that sticky notes are the same thing as
post-its (sort a “soda” versus “pop” situation). If this is the case, I
definitely say “post-it” as opposed to sticky-note. I also say “Xerox” instead
of photocopy and Coke rather than “cola soft drink.” Marketers worldwide would
be happy with me.
My Blog Nominees:
7. Weightless
(I’m saving my last 2-10!)
#8 – Done!
My 5 Questions:
1. What is your idea of perfect happiness (and/or peace)?
2. What is your greatest fear?
3. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would
it be?
4. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement and
greatest regret?
5. (My “weird” question) What is your motto?
