Dichotomies
You get to be two (or more) things at once. You get to think to things at the same time. You get to feel multiple things simultaneously.
Human beings are not static and stagnant - we are dynamic and ever changing and multifaceted and complex. We are not a solitary color, but a whole palate. We are not a solitary note, but an entire symphony.
And because of this, we are not defined by our roles in life, by our states of being, by our possessions, by our emotions, or by our thoughts. We aren't even defined by our "identities" - and what we call our identities are fluid, too.
So yes, you can feel sad and relieved at the same time (for example, you can feel deep sadness when you lose a loved one but deep relief that they are out of their pain). You can feel love towards someone and still feel angry at them.
You can think that you ought to do something as well as not do it at the same time. You can see yourself as a tomboy but still like wearing dresses sometimes.
These things don't make you hypocritical or conflicted.
They make you human.
