Affirmation: Today I will let go of my need for approval and my need to be liked. Instead, I will choose to like and approve of myself. The people who count (including me) will respect me when I’m true to who I really am.
Word of the Day: bespoke (adj):

Unplug
If you own and/or interact with any sort of technology, chances are that you've had to unplug your device or appliance and let it rest re-set before plugging it back again. I've done this several times and I am always amazed at how a little break can resolve things when they've hit a wall, are stuck, or are simply moving as though through quicksand.
Recently, I've found myself feeling "overheated" (not physically, but emotionally). I've felt like I have way too many "windows" and "pop-ups" up in my life and my processing speed and memory have felt sluggish and compromised. I realized then, that much like my laptop, I need to "sleep" and cannot afford to be "switched on" at all times. I need to "minimize" and ideally altogether "delete" the unnecessary, stressful, and burdensome distractions, people, events, rules, commitments, and "stories" in my life - to reduce the things that are cluttering my space that are bringing me out of line with my values and the person I am and want to be.
Today, I invite you to examine the clutter and unnecessary "windows," "pop-ups," and "processes" in your life that are no longer serving you.
How are these things affecting you and your life?
What keeps you from minimizing or deleting them?
When was the last time time you unplugged?
What does "unplugging" look like for you? This may not necessarily mean taking a complete hiatus from technology (though doing so can be a great option), but it does involve conscious and intentional slowing down and stepping back.
And remember:

Humble
Living
Humble living does not diminish. It fills.
Going back to a simpler self gives wisdom.
When a man makes up a story for his child,
he becomes a father and a child
together, listening.

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for some time... including you!
